Start here: Cells/Groups Management

Written by Eliakim Stutz

InPeace Cells/Groups Management helps your church organize its small groups and keep track of the people who participate in them.

With this module, your church can centralize information about groups, their leaders, participants, and meetings, making it easier for both leaders and church administrators to follow what is happening.

What can you do with Cells/Groups Management?

With this feature, your church can:

  • create and organize cells or groups;

  • assign leaders, co-leaders, and other responsible people;

  • organize groups by categories;

  • manage participants and participation requests;

  • register completed meetings;

  • track attendance and visitors;

  • make studies available to groups;

  • plan meetings;

  • send notifications to participants;

  • organize coordinators and the cell structure;

  • view reports to follow the development of the groups.

This helps keep information from being scattered among different leaders and brings it into the church's management process.

Your church chooses what to call the groups

Not every church uses the term "Cell." That is why InPeace allows your church to define the terminology it uses, such as:

  • Cell;

  • Group;

  • Small Group;

  • GC;

  • Team;

  • or another name used by your organization.

This terminology will be used throughout the platform when displaying the feature to administrators and users.

How to enable Cells/Groups Management

To use the feature:

  1. Access the InPeace administrative panel.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Locate the settings related to the Groups module.

  4. Enable the Enable Groups module option.

  5. Enter the terminology your church wants to use.

You must enter the name in both singular and plural form. For example:

  • Singular: Cell

  • Plural: Cells

Then save the changes. Once the module is enabled, the options related to Cells/Groups Management will be available for setup and use.

Where should you start?

If your church is starting to use the module, we recommend following this sequence:

1. Configure the terminology

Define how groups will be called within your church.

2. Organize the categories

If your church uses different types or classifications of groups, configure the categories that will be used to organize them.

3. Create your cells/groups

Create the groups and add their leaders, location, meeting times, and other necessary information.

4. Assign the responsible people

Configure leaders, co-leaders, coordinators, and other responsible people according to your church's structure.

5. Start managing the groups

Once the cells are created, leaders can manage participants, review participation requests, and register completed meetings. This information also helps church administrators follow the development of the cells through the available reports.

Management for the church and experience for participants

Cells/Groups Management serves two important purposes:

  • For leaders and administrators, it helps organize the groups and follow what is happening in each one.

  • For members and visitors, it allows them to discover groups made available by the church and request to participate.

This way, the feature supports both the church's internal organization and the connection of people with its small groups.

Next step

Now that Cells/Groups Management is configured, the next step is to create your first group.
