The Baptism Registration automation allows Baptism information to be automatically updated in the profiles of people who check in to an event.
You can configure the Baptism type and date, add notes, and define when this information should be added to the person's profile.
How do I access the automation?
To configure it:
Go to Events > Overview;
Find the Baptism event;
Click the arrow on the right side of the event;
Select Automations;
Click Register Baptism.
Then, configure the information that will be added to the participants' profiles.
Configure the Baptism Type
Select the type of Baptism performed by your church.
Available options may include:
Immersion;
Effusion;
Aspersion.
The selected type will be added to the profiles of the people identified by the automation.
Configure the Baptism Date
Choose which date should be recorded in the person's profile.
You can use:
Ticket check-in date: uses the date on which the participant completed the check-in; or
Specific date: allows you to define in advance which date should be recorded.
Choose the option that best represents your church's process.
Add notes
Use the notes field to record additional information related to the Baptism.
For example, you can add the names of the pastors responsible for conducting the Baptism, ensuring that this information remains available in the person's profile.
Configure the trigger
Set event participation as the automation trigger.
This way, when the person's ticket is validated through check-in, the system will recognize their participation in the event and run the automation.
Define when the update should happen
You can also define how long after check-in the information should be added to the person's profile.
For Baptism events, we recommend configuring the update to happen:
Immediately after check-in; or
Within 2 days after check-in.
What should I do on the day of the Baptism?
On the day of the event, organize a team responsible for checking in participants and validating the tickets of the people who will be baptized.
Once the check-in is completed, the automation will be triggered according to the configured settings.
The Baptism information will then be automatically added to each participant's profile.
Important: the automation only updates the profiles of people who complete the event check-in.
