How to create a Specific Group?

Step by step to create new groups for notification triggering

A notification can be sent to a specific group of people, who are grouped by similarity, for example: “all women registered in your Church” or “all men registered in your Church”.

A specific group can be created directly from the side menu of your admin panel.

Just access: Communications >> Notifications >> Specific groups >> NEW.

If necessary, you can also create a specific group when choosing the recipient of your message. If there is no group that meets your needs in your list of specific groups already created, you can choose to add a new one.

Creating a new group

To create a new group you will need some information, check it out:

Name: Enter the name of the group (it will help identify your group for later use, so the tip is to use a suggestive and easy-to-understand name).

Active: The field is used to indicate whether the group is active or not. Remembering that if necessary, you can deactivate the group when necessary.

Filter by user fields: You can select according to the available fields, choosing the values for each filter. Check the fields available for filtering:

  • Type of member (member or visitor);

  • Sex;

  • Date of birth;

  • Marital status;

  • Date of baptism;

  • Date of receipt from the person;

  • If you have children;

  • Custom fields for your Church.

You can select different fields to form groups according to your needs.

When selecting a field you will need to add filter values for it. If you want to remove a field from the filter, simply click on the trash can icon and delete it.

After configuring your group details, you must click “SAVE” for the group to be created.

Editing a group

When editing, you can add or remove fields, in addition to editing filter values. To edit an already created group, go to Communications >> Notifications >> Specific groups.

You will have access to the groups already created and can edit them by clicking on the “pencil” icon in the location corresponding to the group you want to edit.

You can also deactivate a group. Just select the "NO" option in the "Active" field when editing your group. To delete, simply on your group's editing screen, click on the red "DELETE" button, which is located in the upper right part of your screen and confirm the operation.
